Terra Oliva Farmhouse

A lovingly restored farmhouse alone in its own olive grove

The full write-up

A tumbledown farmhouse in Kritou Terra, bought and restored over five winters by an English-Cypriot couple who refused to modernise the soul out of it. The original stone walls and pine ceiling remain; behind them hide underfloor heating, a deep bathtub and the fastest wi-fi in the valley.

The house sits alone among its olive trees, a ten-minute walk from the village, so nights are for the fireplace, the barbecue and the extraordinary dark sky. The owners leave a folder of their favourite walks, and the waterfall walk in Kritou Terra gorge starts at the end of the track.
